Louis Gargiulo Company, Inc. is a third generation family owned and operated business specializing in industrial, commercial, and municipal construction. Louis Gargiulo Company, Inc. was founded in 1938. Through the 40’s and 50’s, the company flourished and established itself within the community. In 1947, Aetna Casualty Insurance Company began underwriting performance bonds for the firm, which has been a mere formality since Louis Gargiulo Company, Inc. has never failed to complete a project.

 

Average annual sales have grown from $3 million in the early 1980's to over $10 million in the 1990's. The corporate philosophy is controlled growth with a quality product. The years of progress is a result of the pride and the interest taken by both the owners and the company employees, some who have been employed by Gargiulo for over 40 years.

 

Louis Gargiulo Company, Inc. continues to be owned and operated by the son and grandson of its founder, Louis Gargiulo. Anthony Gargiulo, the current CEO, has also taken an active role in many community and charity organizations. He served as a member of the board of trustees for St. Francis Hospital in Jersey City for ten years, the last four as its chairman. He was the United Way Man of the Year in 1984, and is currently still serving on the board of trustees for both the Cement Finishers Union of Hudson County and the statewide board of trustees for the Bricklayers Union.

 

Louis Gargiulo Company has completed construction projects for many industry leaders, including: Exxon, Bendix-Honeywell, Block Drug Co., Ciba Giegy, ITT, Best Foods CPC, Sea-Land, and Tropicana.
